Halloweenie Mani: Frankensteins Monster

Courtesy of Instagram, we have a picture of my super cute Halloween manicure. I got the inspiration for this mani from MissJenFABULOUS on youtube.

For these cute little Frankensteins, I started with 3 coats of (Wet n Wild) Spoiled in Permission to Proceed. On the accent nails I added a coat of China Glaze It's Alive! I used a regular 'ole Sharpie marker to draw the faces of my Frankensteins. Topped with Sally Hansen Insta-dry top coat.

Happy Halloweenie Dolls!! xo

Lorac Pro Palette Look #2

Happy Saturday Loves!! xo

As you may have noticed from the above picture, I dyed the underneath of my hair BRIGHT PINK! I love love love it! It is a permanent hair dye, so we shall see how it looks as it fades out eh? If you'd like a separate post as to how I did it, leave me a comment below :)

For todays eyeshadow look, I again used my Lorac Pro Palette (hence the title of this blog...) I also used it yesterday and absolutely love the look I came up with, but of course I didn't take any pictures. (Story of my life...) If you'd like to see how I came up with this eye look, keep reading!

Hi my dears!

I had to work yesterday, and it was super early in the morning while I was getting ready. I needed a quick, simple look (toddlers don't care for smokey eyes or dramatic looks lol) and I was dying to use my new Lorac Pro Palette. To see what I came up with, and how I did it, keep reading!

Swatchfest: Lorac Pro Palette

Hi loves!

I caved, I did it. I purchased the Lorac Pro Palette after talking myself out of it over and over again. But I keep hearing so many rave reviews about it, and after swatching it about 15 times I decided I had to have it. I cashed in a bunch of my reward points at Ulta, and ended up getting it for about 30% off, so I justify it, lol.

If you are unaware of what the Lorac Pro Palette is, it's basically an eyeshadow palette consisting of 16 shades. The top row are all matte shades, and the bottom row are all shimmer shades. None of them are super glittery (yes, I'm looking at you UD Midnight Cowboy Rides Again....). The texture is very creamy and buttery. One small swipe goes a long way as these shades are uber pigmented. The palette also includes a mini Behind the Scenes eye primer. Retail will run you $42 plus tax. I have no idea whether this is LE or not??

 On to swatches and pictures!

Liebster Award!

Hi dolls! I was nominated by Emma of PINKsinger101.blogspot.com for the Liebster Award. Thank you Emma, that was so sweet :)

Basically what the Liebster Award is, it's an award for bloggers with less than 200 followers. (That would be me!) You are supposed to tag people to give this award to, but I follow too many blogs to go through every single one and see who has less than 200 followers or not. Soooo.... if you fall into that category... I nominate you!

If you accept this award from me, here are the rules:

1. State 11 facts about yourself
2. Answer the questions I have at the end of this post
3. Tag some people will less than 200 followers on your blog
4. Create 11 NEW questions for your picks to answer!
5. Link back to me

11 Random Facts About Myself
- I will be celebrating the 3rd anniversary of my 25th birthday next month ;-)
- I have OCD about my bed being made. I will make my bed in my sleep. No joke.
- I am obsessed with cheese. Have any?
- Seriously ADDICTED to Mountain Dew. I know, that's terrible.
- I am the only girl in my house. 1 husband, 4 sons and 1 male fur baby (dog)
- I used to work at Holiday Inn as a maid. *knock knock* Housekeeping?
- My favorite show is Ghost Adventures. I love that Zac Bagans, he's quite the hottie ;-)

- I come from a military family dating back to the Civil War. Almost every generation.
- I love to learn. I'm a huge history buff, and I research things just for fun.
- I paint my nails almost every single day.

Questions from Emma:
1. What 3 items would you bring to deserted island? Wow, that's a tough one! Besides my family (I'm assuming they are with me) I would bring diapers (I have a 2 year old), food and water. I know, oh so practical.
2. If you could only have 1 makeup item for the rest of your life, what would it be? I would very much like to say concealer, but I am a blush addict. So I'd have to go with blush.
3. What's your favorite season? Defiantly summer. I love warm weather and shorts and swimming pools. Oh and flip flops. I live in flip flops.
4. What is your favorite part of fall? Listening to what ideas my boys come up with for Halloween costumes. So far this year we have a soldier, Mario and a cowboy.
5. If you could only shop at one store, what would it be? I am a Walmart shopper, 100%. I'm there at least 2-3 times a week.
6. What is your favorite fall drink? Right now I am really into Teddy Bear Lattes from Biggby.
7. What is your favorite restaurant? Chipolte's. Is that a restaurant?
8. What is your favorite social network site/ app? Probably Facebook.
9. Who is your favorite singer/band? That's a 2 way tie between U2 and Aerosmith.
10. If you could be best friends with any celeb, who would it be? Khloe Kardashian. She is hilarious!
11. If you could steal any celebs look, who would it be? Kate Middleton. I don't know, I really thought about that, and she's the first one to pop into my mind lol.

If you could only shop in one and not the other, would you choose Sephora or Ulta?

Scarves or statement necklaces?
How many states in the US have you been to?
How did you get started into makeup/beauty/fashion blogging?

My Look: Bold Lips

I sat down to do my makeup this morning, and I just had this feeling that today was a bold lipstick day. Does that ever happen to you? I'm not normally one to sport the bold, bright, deep lipsticks - but I've been venturing out of my comfort zone lately.

For today's look, I went went with a simple, neutral eye look to complement my bold lips. To see what I used to complete this look, keep reading!

Influenster Re-design!

Hey guys!

I've been sing this site called Influenster for a few months now, and have already received boxes to review. Basically what it is, is this: you create a profile, earn badges for things you like (for me it's beauty products, fashion, blogging, being a mom), participate in reviewing products. The badges you earn determine which VoxBox you will be likely to recieve.

I have previously received the Mommy VoxBox, full of items for me to review for you guys. I also today received my Beauty Blogger VoxBox, which is full of awesome products for me to review. The part? It's all FREE!

Influenster recently redesigned their website, and it's now full of more badges, and easy to navigate pages. I you haven't checked it out yet, you can do so by going to Influenster.com

Be on the lookout for the exciting things I will be reviewing from my new VoxBox! :)

Swatchfest: L'Oreal - The Perfect Trench

Hi dolls! Getting ready to head to the gym, but I wanted to get this post up first :)

As you know I picked up a bunch of the L'Oreal fall collection polishes at Rite Aid last week for $2.99. I have already swatched Tea and Crumpets here, and today I have The Perfect Trench.

The Perfect Trench is a mustardy yellow color. Sounds gross, as most mustard yellow described things do, haha. This polish is way pretty though, and I love it for fall. This is a cream finish, no shimmer; no glitter. This was opaque in 2 coats, and application was a dream.

Swatchfest: Tarina Tarantino Emerald Pretty Palette

Oh my goodness, so much to say about this palette that I don't even know where to begin!!

I suppose I'll start off by saying that I've been lusting after this palette for SO LONG. I mean, it's Wizard of Oz themed, and that is hands down one of my favorite movies of life! It's shaped like a big emerald, which is fabulous. The colors in this palette are phenomenal, and I've heard nothing but great things about Tarina Tarantino products.

Having said all of that, this palette is $38 for 6 eyeshadows. I couldn't really justify that (ok, who am I kidding, I can justify it, but still....) If you have been following anyone on youtube the last couple of weeks, or read Temptalia's blog, you may have heard that Sephora will no longer be carrying Tarina products any longer. (Their contract with each other is up) All Tarina Tarantino products at Sephora are now 40% off!!! Amazing! As soon as I heard that, I knew now was the time to pick this little gem up, for only $22! Great deal.

The quality, texture, and pigmentation of these eyeshadows is probably one of the best I've ever tried, if not THE best. They are amazing, just buttery and beautiful.

Color description will be along with the photos and swatches after the jump, so keep reading!

Hard Candy Top 10 Eyeshadow Palette - Naturally Gorgeous

Hi dolls!

If you saw my last haul video on youtube , I mentioned this Hard Candy palette from Walmart. These palettes are a new release, and there are 5 palettes total. There is this neutral one, a green, purple, blue and pink one. These palettes retail for $6 each, which is a pretty good buy.

I found that these shadows are quite powdery. Some of them have great pigmentation, while others didn't have much to speak of at all. They look very pretty in the pan, but on the eye they all look similar, which can lead to your look being a little muddy.

I don't know, I'm still on the fence with this one a bit. I think it's probably best for someone younger, who only wears one or two colors in a look, and doesn't need anything dark and dramatic.

Well, on to the swatches. You let me know below if you've tried this, and what you think of it. I'm curious as to how the other palettes preform, so if you've picked up a different one, let me know.

Swatchfest: L'Oreal Tea and Crumpets

Hi dolls!

A little while back L'Oreal came out with 2 fall nail polish collections : a nude one, and a London themed one. I wasn't into the nude collection much, as I didn't think any would look good with my skin tone. I was however drawn to the London themed one. (I'm sorry, I don't know collection names, Brit Invasion perhaps?)

To make a long story short, i only picked up one of the polishes, Brit Invasion. You can see a bottle shot in this post. I did like all the other shades, I just didn't want to dish out $6 a piece at Rite Aid for them all. Well last night I ran to Rite Aid to grab a gallon of milk, and I spy in the clearance bin all the London polishes for $2.99. I picked up 3 of them, plus another color I've been eyeballing.

For today's post I have for you, Tea and Crumpets. This polish is a nude/neutral color, however it has a touch of grey to it. I really like it, and I think it's a great polish for fall. The grey undertone isn't picking up in the photos so much, but it is there.

What do you think? Do you like this color? Check your clearance bins at your local drugstores, you never know what you may find!

Swatchfest: Tarte Fantastic Foursome Blush Set

Hi my loves!

I'm back with another swatch post that I am SUPER excited about!

If you recall my last post about high-end fall launch products I was interested in, I mentioned I'd be picking this set up in the near future. I had some free time on Friday (thanks Mom!), so I headed off to Sephora before hitting the gym.

Product descriptions will follow each picture. Each swatch is a heavy swipe on the left, blended out on the right.

I truly love this blush set, it did not disappoint me! If this is in your budget, I recommend picking it up. Remember that a single Tarte blush is $25, and all 4 of these are $35. Steal!!
