Nail Art - Inspired by MissJenFabulous!

I take NO credit for this nail design whatsoever! That credit goes to MissJenFabulous from YouTube, and I will link her How-To video below if you wish to check it out. It's a very simple design, and she explains it much better than I ever could lol.

I just wanted to show you all that nail art CAN be easy, and anyone CAN do it. I mean, I did it, right? haha. Granted, there is a bit of sloppiness, but that is due to gloopy nail polish.

A list of polishes I used to complete this manicure, along with the video, will be below the pictures.

Thumb: China Glaze - Flip Flop Fantasy
Pointer: LA Colors - yellow no name polish.
Middle: Sinful Colors - Pink (Neon)
Ring: Sally Hansen - Pacific Blue
Pinky: Zoya - Arizona (bottle shown)
LA Colors Black & White stripper polishes
Wet n WIld - Black Cream
Milani - White on the Spot

Beauty Resolutions Update: Holding Myself Accountable

If you may recall, at the end of 2012 I made a list of Beauty Resolutions for the new year. You can see my original post HERE. I decided this evening that in order to hold myself accountable for said resolutions, I need to write down everything that I buy. So that's what I did tonight. I must say that I am rather proud of myself. I certainly could have done better over these last 3 months, but I could also have done much worse.

Per my own guidelines, I am not allowed to buy any new eyeliners this year. I have stuck to that rule so far. I haven't purchased one eyeliner, or a lipliner. I also made a resolution to take better care of my skin. I'm proud to say I've been following a regiment and my skin looks pretty darn good. I haven't had any serious breakouts or anything like that. I also limited myself to only buying lip products I know I will use regularly. I have been sticking to that as well. So many new things have come out that I've wanted to try, but I left them at the store knowing I'd be wasting my own money. No new body lotions, body sprays or shower gels have been purchased. I am still using what I already own. I also limited myself to 7 nail polishes, and so far have only bought 5.

Of course, I am not perfect, as no one is lol. I have gone a tad crazy buying brushes and makeup sponges. I do use them everyday, so I feel it was money well spent. I also fell off the deep end and purchased 4 new foundations (holy shit!) and 2 new concealers (so much for P10P use ups!) I am also still buying small eyeshadows palettes here and there, which add up to a lot of new eyeshadow to say the least. (2 singles, 2 trios, four different 8 pans, 1 quad and the Naked Basics palette)

I'm not quite sure if the good outweighs the bad in this situations LOL. I only have to answer to myself after all, and I am proud of the amount of self control I've had so far. So until next quarter, wish me luck!!

How are you doing on YOUR New Years Resolutions? Good, bad, forgotten altogether? Let me know in the comments below!

Much love, and wishes for health and happiness

7.) Finish with black gel liner on top and bottom waterlines. Thin line of black liner to upper lashline. Curl lashes, add mascara.

Swatches: NEW Wet n Wild LE Spring Forward palettes

I had such a LONG day yesterday! Kids had no school again (that's getting old quick!) and it was a just a drag. So after the kids finally fell asleep (we're talking 10 pm here) I grabbed up the car keys and ran out the door. I'm a night owl anyway, so late night shopping isn't a big deal to me. I prefer it actually, less people :-P

Off I headed to my local Meijer in hopes of finding the new Limited Edition palettes from Wet n Wild. Lo and behold, they were there! I also grabbed a Milani baked blush in Berry Amore because I've seen several dupe videos/ posts that it is a dupe to Warm Soul by MAC.

You may notice by the swatches that the more neutral palette (Nude Awakening) has a lot of similar shades to the original Naked palette by Urban Decay. Soo.... $4.70 compared to $50, I think that's a good bargain. Granted they aren't exactly the same, and there are less shades, but it's very similar.

Keep Reading for swatches!

Leopard Nails for Summer

I'm really feeling it... warmer weather that is. It's ben cold as hell here in the Mitten and I'm O-V-E-R it!!! Come on Spring and Summer!!!

In hopes of warmer weather coming soon I did this nail design the other day and thought I'd share it with you all. It was actually inspired by a pair of sweats I got at Aeropostle'. (Sweat pants, I love you but you need to be shorts for real!)

Keep in mind, this is a very bright neon yellow, which of course didn't translate very well in photos. Stupid camera!

I started with a base coat of Milani 'White on the Spot'. After that dried I applied 2 coats of Wet n Wild Spoiled 'Did I Dye It Too Blonde?'. After drying, I used the tip of a bobby pin for a dotting tool and applied random dots of China Glaze 'Flip Flop Fantasy' for my leopard print. I used Wet n Wild 'Black Cream' to go around that. Finish with a top coat. Easy peesy lemon squeezie!
