My Look: Guru Inspiration - Leighann Says

I watched this awesome eye tutorial by Leighann Says on youtube the other day. She did a fun summer look incorporating orange, and I thought that would be fun to try out. Do you ever recreate a look you see on youtube? How often? I find myself doing it a lot, it's always really fun to play around and see if I can make my makeup look half as good as theirs lol. Todays look is inspired by ShadesofKassie on YouTube. She is one of my favorite people to watch, and she did this look for a Valentines Day idea. I just loved how it turned out, so I tried it out myself. I love it still! 11 Random Facts About Myself

- I will be celebrating the 3rd anniversary of my 25th birthday next month ;-)

- I have OCD about my bed being made. I will make my bed in my sleep. No joke.

- I am obsessed with cheese. Have any?

- Seriously ADDICTED to Mountain Dew. I know, that's terrible.

- I am the only girl in my house. 1 husband, 4 sons and 1 male fur baby (dog)

- I used to work at Holiday Inn as a maid. *knock knock* Housekeeping?

- My favorite show is Ghost Adventures. I love that Zac Bagans, he's quite the hottie ;-)

- I am planning to go to cosmetology school within the next year

- I come from a military family dating back to the Civil War. Almost every generation.

- I love to learn. I'm a huge history buff, and I research things just for fun.

- I paint my nails almost every single day.

1. What 3 items would you bring to deserted island? Wow, that's a tough one! Besides my family (I'm assuming they are with me) I would bring diapers (I have a 2 year old), food and water. I know, oh so practical. 

2. If you could only have 1 makeup item for the rest of your life, what would it be? I would very much like to say concealer, but I am a blush addict. So I'd have to go with blush.

3. What's your favorite season? Defiantly summer. I love warm weather and shorts and swimming pools. Oh and flip flops. I live in flip flops. 

4. What is your favorite part of fall? Listening to what ideas my boys come up with for Halloween costumes. So far this year we have a soldier, Mario and a cowboy.

5. If you could only shop at one store, what would it be? I am a Walmart shopper, 100%. I'm there at least 2-3 times a week.

6. What is your favorite fall drink? Right now I am really into Teddy Bear Lattes from Biggby.

7. What is your favorite restaurant? Chipolte's. Is that a restaurant? 

8. What is your favorite social network site/ app? Probably Facebook.

9. Who is your favorite singer/band? That's a 2 way tie between U2 and Aerosmith.

10. If you could be best friends with any celeb, who would it be? Khloe Kardashian. She is hilarious!

11. If you could steal any celebs look, who would it be? Kate Middleton. I don't know, I really thought about that, and she's the first one to pop into my mind lol.

Influenster Re-design!

Hey guys!

    I've been sing this site called Influenster for a few months now, and have already received boxes to review. Basically what it is, is this: you create a profile, earn badges for things you like (for me it's beauty products, fashion, blogging, being a mom), participate in reviewing products. Look! My First Award!

    I was awarded my first blog award today! I'm so friggin' excited!!! It totally geeks me out that someone thought enough of my little blog to give me The Versatile Blogger award =) I seriously appreciate everyone, and everything associated with blogging.

7 Things About Myself:

1. I have hooded eyelids, and it drives me INSANE!!! Do you have any idea how hard it is to do makeup, then you open your eyes and your entire eyelid is covered up? So frustrating.

2. At least 75% of the clothes I own were either given to me, or bought second hand. 

3. I had 4 baby boys in the span of 5 years. My first was born 3 weeks after my 20th birthday.

4. Speaking of birthdays, I've never met anyone who shares the same birthday as me. November 14th anyone??

5. I own about 105 nail polishes.

6. I have recently discovered my love for high heeled shoes. 

7. I have only successfully applied false lashes 1 time in my life.

    Imagine my excitement when I noticed 2 of my favorite nail blogs were followers of my little blog! So exciting for me! I am not just a makeup-aholic. My name is Manda, and I am also a nail polish junkie. Whew! Glad to get that out.
    My first fave is Ice Queen's Nail Parlour. You can go there by clicking the name. She has amazing pictures, and her posts always make me laugh! I love people with a good sense of humor. There are quite a few China Glaze polishes I now have on my wish list thanks to Ice Queen and her amazing posts.
    The other nail blog fave of mine is The Lacquer Factor. She does amazing things with O.P.I. I swear she has about every good one there is to have =) If you are interesting in any certain O.P.I polishes, you have to go check out her blog. You can go there by clicking on the name.
