Nails: Neon Crackle Sponge Tips

Gonna make this one short and sweet folks, I have videos to edit =)

1) Start off with a layer of white polish
2) Using a small piece of a makeup sponge, sponge the green (Pure Ice - Wild Thing) at the bottom of the nail.
3) Using another side of the sponge, sponge the purple (Sinful Colors - Dream On) on the middle potion of the nail.
4) Again, using another edge of the sponge, sponge the pink (Sinful Colors - 24/7) at the tips of the nail.
5) When it's all dry, I applied a layer of L.A Girl silver crackle to the top, topping all off with a top coat.

I used a paper plate to pour small amounts of polish on to dip the sponge into. Much easier than painting directly onto the sponge.

Happy Beautifying loves!

5 Blue Polishes

Today I bring you 5 blue polishes. Enjoy!

L to R:
China Glaze - Sea Spray (2 coats)
Wet n Wild - Blue Moon (2 coats)
Wet n Wild - Bijou Blue (3 coats)
China Glaze - First Mate (1 coat)

Sinful Colors - Hot Spot (2 coats)

China Glaze "Sea Spray" and also "First Mate" were part of the Anchors Away collection. I believe that entire collection was made part of the permanent line and can be found at Sally's for $5.99. You can also get China Glaze at Head2ToeBeauty for $3.
Both Wet n Wild polishes are from the Wild Shine line. You can find them at Walmart for 93 cents. Sinful Colors are available at Rite Aid, Walgreens and the like.

My pick of the bunch? China Glaze "First Mate". One of my all time favorite polishes =)

5 Pink Polishes

I am starting a new series here on the blog, I am calling it the "5 Series". I will be showing different takes on the same thing. (If that makes sense). I am starting with nail polishes, but plan to do other things, like eye shadows, blushes, and lipsticks.

To kick off the 5 Series, I bring you 5 pink polishes. This lighting is basically "sunshine" trickling in from outside. It's rainy and gloomy here... I hate Michigan!! =)

(L to R)
China Glaze - 108 Degrees (3 coats)
Sinful Colors - Pink Forever (3 coats)
China Glaze - Ahoy! (3 coats)
Sinful Colors - Pink Cream (2 coats)

Sinful Colors - Dancing Nails (2 coats)

China Glaze "108 Degrees" was from the Island Escape collection. I, however, found it in the core collection at Sally's. China Glaze "Ahoy!" was in the Anchors Away collection, but is also now in the core collection. Both are available at Sally's for $5.99, or for $3 at Head2Toe Beauty. All Sinful Colors are available at Rite Aid or Walgreens.

My pick from this batch? China Glaze "Ahoy!"

Nail Polish Haul - Blue, Green, Purple, Pink & Red

Here's part 2 of the massive nail polish haul. Click HERE to see part one. Enjoy!

BLUES

Wet n Wild - Blue Wants to be a Millionaire?
This is the brother to Hannah Pinktana, which you can see here. This is also in the Fast Dry line. This is chock full of holographic sparkles, just like the pink. Very pretty!

Sinful Colors - Ciao Bella!
This is a polish I previously blogged about before. I will link the post at the bottom of this one. This is a pretty blue with a sparkle to it. It does apply a little sheer, and a bit streaky (being a shimmer/ frost type polish), but by three coats you're good.

Sinful Colors - Hot Spot
This looks a lot like Ciao Bella!, but Hot Spot seems a bit more of a cream polish. I would describe it as a slight shimmer. There is a little glitter and sparkle to it. I think this will be good for winter, but that's just my opinion ;)

GREENS

Sinful Colors - Envy
This is a murky, dusty sort of money green. I hear this is a dupe for OPI's Jade Is The New Black. You can judge for yourself HERE.

Sinful Colors - Last Chance
Last Chance is a very deep forest green cream. This seems Christmasy to me. I'd pair this with a red accent nail on each hand, for the holidays.

Wet n Wild - Caribbean Frost
I was drawn to this color right away. I have a thing for frosty, and sparkly, nail polishes. This is such a cool blue/green shade. This is a 2-3 coater.

PURPLES

Sinful Colors - Daddy's Girl
I've actually had this polish for quite a while, I just never got around to showing it on here. I love this grapey purple. It has some silver flecks in it, but it applies very sheer. You need a lot of coats for this to become opaque. I have tried this layered over another purple, and it looked awesome.

Sinful Colors - Winterberry
This is a NEW Sinful Colors polish. 1 of 2, actually. This is such a pretty dusty grey/purple. Definatly a great winter color.

Wet n Wild - Eggplant Frost
I picked this up with the Caribbean Frost. They just seemed to go together I suppose, haha. I'm actually pretty positive I've had this EXACT polish a LONG time ago (we're talking middle school). It's a good one though, I enjoy it.

PINK

Sinful Colors - Dancing Nails
This is also one I have blogged about before. Dancing Nails is a metallic pink. This can be one coat nail polish if you use a thick coat.

REDS

Sinful Colors - Sugar Sugar
This is a previously mentioned polish also. It's such a pretty ruby kind of red, with some silver fleck to it. This is probably the one I'd use, along with Last Chance, as a holiday mani.

Sinful Colors - Georgio
This is the DEEPEST red I've ever seen! It's almost black, as you can see. I kind of like that though. It's quirky, like me. Also, my hubby's nickname is George, so how can I not get one called Georgio? lol
ignore the dust, haha

Wet n Wild - Burgundy Frost
Are you noticing a theme with my WnW polishes on this post? lol  I told ya, I like those frosty ones!

BROWNS

Forever 21 - Taupe
This is a soft taupe cream. It has a little surprise of a subtle shimmer to it. Very nice, applies easily. 2-3 coats to opaque. The picture is showing darker than this polish actually is.

Sinful Colors - Nirvana
I've mentioned this polish in a couple of posts. I've said before that this is a dupe to OPI's You Don't Know Jacques! You can see for yourself in the photo.

That concludes the "long haul" =) I will apologize again that I am not the best photographer, nor did I have the optimal lighting. I did the best I could. What are your fave nail polishes?

Nail Polish Haul - Glitters & Darks

I decided for this months haul post, I would just do nail polish. I hauled A LOT of nail polish in the last month or so. There are also some I mentioned in a previous post that I hadn't swatched yet, so I will include those. I'm starting to develop a serious nail polish problem. Walgreens gets me with those Sinful Colors 99 cents sales, and then Meijer had 50% off. What was supposed to do? lol I swatched all these on my nail wheels (See what my problem is coming to, nail wheels. Jeez)

GLITTERS

Wet n Wild - Believe Me, It's Real
This is a limited edition color from the Ice baby collection. This collection is exclusive to Walgreens, and is not available in all Walgreens either. It is a dense blue glitter, with purple chunk glitter in it.

Wet n Wild - Party of Five Glitters
This is from the Fast Dry line. I was super excited about this one at first, until I put it on. The glitter wants to separate from the jelly, and not stick to the nail. After you finally get some on, and decide to take it off: good luck! You will need an acetone soak, and probably some filing down too. Pain in the butt!

Sinful Colors - Nail Junkie
This caught my eye because it reminded me of Urban Decay's 24/7 liner in Junkie. It's a really pretty greenish teal jelly with teal chunky glitter.

Revlon - Facets of Fuchsia
This is a highly blogged about LE color from Revlon's Masquerade collection. I LOVE this one! It's a black jelly base with multi-sized fuchsia glitter.  It's so beautiful, but unfortunately another one that's a bitch to get off your nails. Acetone soak for sure!

BLACK/ GRAY/ SILVER

Wet n Wild - Black Creme
The name says it all. This is a black creme polish. application is nice, opaque in 1 coat.

Sinful Colors - What's Your Name?
This is a black polish with teal shimmer in it. It looks black in shade, but when this baby hits the light, it's so pretty! It takes at least 3 coats to be opaque. (I am a thin coat person, keep that in mind).

LA Girl - Silver Crackle
Obviously, this is silver crackle. Not only is it silver though, it is also packed with silver glitter. This was $3.99 at Rite- Aid.

Revlon - Carbonite
This is a new color, but yet I picked this gem up at Big Lots for $1.50! Score! This is supposedly a dupe for Chanel's Graphite. This is a one coat polish, which is awesome.

Sinful Colors - Slate
This is a slate gray color with a slight shimmer to it.

NYC - Sidewalkers
This is part of the New York Minute line (fast dry)  I like the brush on these, they are kinda wide, and flat. Make application very easy, and less messy. This is a soft gray cream.

Wet n Wild - Gray's Anatomy
This is also part of the fast Dry line. All the polishes in this line have names that are like a tv show, they make me laugh =) This color is very sheer, but it has almost a duochrome quality to it. It's very pretty, but even after 4 coats there is VNL. I want to love it, but I can't. Bummer =(

I apologize if these are not in the best of light, I did the best I could, weather doesn't always permit for good lighting. Grrr... stupid Michigan! lol
That's all for part one. I don't want these post to be so long, so I am splitting it up. I told you had A LOT of new polishes LOL. See you in the next post =)
