My Look: Un-picture-ific Day

I absolutely LOVED my makeup today. However, I don't think any of these pictures are blog worthy. My hair looked super cute, but it didn't translate into photos, and I just look sloppy today. My apologizes for that!

I did have a great day though. The boys and I headed off to the zoo this afternoon. All the kids behaved themselves (major victory!), all the animals were up close and personal today, and the weather was amazing. One happy mamma over here, woot! =)

Newsworthy this April

It's that time once again, when I'm coming off of a makeup buying binge. *hangs head in shame* I was just looking through my collection, realizing just how much I have. It's cray- cray, let's just leave it at that, lol. It's time to shop the collection, so to speak, and start using things. I have quite a few eye shadows and palettes that have only been used once or twice, before moving on to the next new thing.
I'm also realizing it's not just eye shadow I have a plethora of, it's blushes too. My blush collection has recently exploded, thanks to my new coral/ peachy colored blush obsession.
So, my lovely readers, it's time for another monthly makeup schedule. If you've been a reader here for a while you will remember I did this is November also. I can't promise that I will be as good about posting every day as I was before, but I'm really good give it a 110% effort! I've decided that if I have same brand eye shadow and blush, I will coordinate on those days.
Below I will list kind of a run through of the brands I have, and what I have to work with, so if you want to see a look with any particular product, please leave me a comment below so I can work it in for you.

My Look: Green Is My New Neutral

For this look I used my new NYX Caviar & Bubbles palette. (This was previously called Champagne & Caviar, if you were confused about that, as I was.) I will post a picture below and number it just to make it easier to explain what went where, as the shades have no names.

To this super neutral eye, I added a green eyeliner for a pop of spunk. This was yesterdays eye look, and today I wore green on the eyes again for the 3rd day in a row. I'm really liking green lately. I just like how it plays against my brown eyes.

Easter Egg Mani

For this Easter manicure, I used the majority of the Orly Sweet Spring collection from 2010. I love these pretty pastel colors. I also made my own dotting tool by sticking a pin in the eraser of a pencil. Worked like a charm! ;)

L-R:
Orly - Gumdrop
Orly - Cotton Candy
Orly - Snowcone
Orly - Lollipop

I used a random drugstore white polish (Love My Nails possibly??) and made dots with my handmade dotting tool. All polishes were 2 coats, except Cotton Candy which was 3. I topped it all off with a coat of Seche Vite.

What are you wearing for Easter?

My Look: Bigger, Bolder, Brighter

A few days ago I hit the 40% off NYX sale at Ulta. I've been wanting a couple of those 10 palettes, and since the were about $6.50 instead of $11, I got the ones I wanted. I picked up Caviar & Bubbles (another neutral palette, and I forgot to slap myself for it LOL) and also Secret World (lots of pretty green shades and a pop of orange). For today's look I used the Secret World palette, and really played up the green shades. I think they really pretty against my deep brown eyes. Enjoy!
