Christmas Gift Guide to Show Your Guy 2012!!

It's that time of year again... time for me to show you some of the awesome options out there for Christmas. I do this list so you can show your boyfriends/husbands exactly what you'd like (they need specifics girls!), but keep in mind you can also use this list as ideas for people you are shopping for also. Think Mom, Sister, Aunt, BFF, Teacher, etc.

There are WAY too many things on this list to have a picture of every single thing. Almost all product descriptions will be clickable links where you can go check it out. This list is composed of both drugstore and higher end products. I try to keep everyone's budget in mind when compiling this list. Also, let me say this: don't ask for mascara or foundation. I don't know why, it just seems too weird and personal to me. Besides, shade matching on ourselves it hard enough, don't even bother trying to have a guy do it LOL.

Lip Products I'm Using Up

I sat down the other day to write up a 'Project 10 Pan' list, and I realized I have SO many lip products I don't use. I am just lazy is what the main problem is. I never put lipstick on, and when I do, I grab the same few over and over.

My solution to this was to pull some out of the 'Lip' drawer, and put them in plain sight on my table. If they are there in front of my face, I'll be more apt to reach for them. So I have a little collection here that I want to use up and be done with, so I work on ones I really like better. I also decided to include my lip liners, as I forget about them a lot of times also.

So what am I using up??

Lip Liners:
Essence - In The Nude
MAC - Saunter
Jordana - Baby Berry
Jordana - Tawny
NYX - Citrus
NYX - Rose
NYX - Nude Pink

Lipsticks:
WnW - Think Pink
WnW - Bare It All
Essence - Creamy Nude (my FAVE, but it's almost gone)
Revlon Lip Butter - Sugar Frosting
Revlon Lip Butter - Pink Truffle
Revlon Lip Butter - Cupcake
Jordana Easyshine - Pink Lemonade

Lip Glosses:
Sephora Nectar Shine - Litchi Shine
Maybelline - Berry Dazzle
NYC - #555 Iced Orchid
NYC - #554 Golden Sunset (maybe?)
Mary Kay - Gold Sequins
Essence XXXL Shine - Timeless Beauty

So that's what in my cup for now. I'll keep you updated on how it's going!
Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!!

Review: NYC New York Color Individual Eyes Custom Compact

Hi my loves! How goes it?

I have to start off by saying I'm not a huge fan of the NYC IndividualEyes palettes. I used to have the one for brown eyes (Union Square) before I really got into makeup and understood things like: pigmentation, creasing, and lasting power. I do think these palettes are a good idea for beginners because they are pretty fool-proof, but they just don't do it for me.

You can see the whole line of compacts at the NYC New York Color website, and they are available in basically every drugstore around. These palettes retail for $4.99 each.

via NYC New York Color:
NYC New York Color's all-in-one compact gives you everything you need for a complete eye look: primer, illuminator, applicator and complementing shadows. With four vibrant colors designed for your eye color, you can create a look as individual as you are!

As stated; these palettes come with 4 shades: lid, crease, definer and brow. It also comes with a primer and illuminator, which are cream products. While in theory it's nice having an all-in-one compact, powder gets into the cream products. The cream products themselves are basically junk. They don't work. The primer creases like crazy. The shadows themselves are not overly powdery, but they lack in pigmentation. I received the compact in Dark Shadows, and I think the other palette I owned (Union Square) had better color payoff.

This particular palette, called Dark Shadows, is LE so I'm not sure when it came out or if it's even still available. This palette contains all shimmery shades. There is a white, silver, grey and a black.

These compacts are not a bad deal for what you get, but like I said before: they just don't turn my crank. I much prefer my Wet n Wild palettes. I do have a NYC duo called Brighton Peach that I absolutely love, but these compacts just aren't at the same level. Have you tried these before? What did you think about them?

It's My Birthday, & I'll Cry If I Want To!

Ok, so I don't really want to cry. Well maybe a little bit, just because I waited too long to do pictures, and I was losing daylight quickly. If you know me, you will know I celebrated the 3rd anniversary of my 25th birthday on Wednesday. Technically today is not my birthday, but I am headed out with my friends tonight to celebrate. EDIT: This should have went up yesterday, so I celebrated last night.

I spent over an hour doing my hair today. I straightened it, I curled it, and I still ended up with a messy bun. Story of my life, I swear.

Instagram Essie Swatch Spam

I realized that I had Instagramed a few of my Essie polishes, so I decided to throw them all together here in one spam post. Keep in mind that these are Instagram photos, so the color is a little off. Especially the purple. It is not that deep, nor that purple in real life. It just didn't photograph well at all.

Review: Bath & Body Works Fall Mini Candle

Hi dolls! I'm back with another review today!

One of the products I received in my VoxBox was a mini candle from Bath & Body Works. I was SUPER excited about this as I LOVE Bath & Body Works candles. I like to buy the mini candles because they are usually 2 for $5, and I get to try out a larger variety buy buying and burning the small candles.

My favorite candles to buy are the Fall Collection candles. They all smell so, so good. Some of my favorites this year were: Leaves, Mahogany & Teakwood and Autumn. I received the candle Cider Lane in my box, and I was excited to try it. I've heard a lot about this particular scent, but I didn't end up getting the chance to buy it on store.

According to the candle, Cider Lane is a "delicious fall blend of mulled cider, warm caramel and sweet cinnamon". I love that these candles have a scent description on the bottom, as I am terrible at describing scents (lol!) I would say that is a fairly accurate description of this candle.

Bath & Body Works claims that mini candles are supposed to last through 15 hours of burning. This is true. I usually burn mine in my bedroom at night. I can use the same candle for about 3 to 4 hours night for almost a week. The scent is very strong, making it distribute throughout the room very well. These candles (all sizes, including the minis) come in a little glass container. I like that because when the candle is done you can clean it out and reuse the container. I use mine to hold jewelry, and other odds & ends.

With my candle I also received a coupon to get a large 3 wick candle for only $10 (normally $20). I don't usually buy the larger candles because I don't like spending that much money on one candle. I did however use my coupon so I could one for half off. I chose the scent Mahogany & Teakwood, which is probably my favorite from this year.

Do you buy these candles? What were your favorite candles fragrances from Bath & Body Works this fall?

Review: Not Your Mother's Smooth Moves Frizz Control Hair Cream

Hi guys, a little review for you today. I will have a couple of these coming up, so yay for that! :)

I recently received my Beauty Blogger VoxBox from Influenster as blogged about here. One of the items in the box for me to try out was this hair cream. I'm not much into hair products (though I should be, I dyed my hair pink for crying out loud). I do use good shampoo, conditioner, etc. I just don't buy a lot of hair creams, texturizers, pomades and the like. Needless to say I was pretty excited to try this out for free. This is from the brand Not Your Mother's, which you can check out by clicking the name.

To see how I feel about it, and to learn more about this product, keep reading!

Little Walgreens Haulage

First of all, excuse my leg in the above picture. I didn't realize it was in there until after I uploaded. Oopsie! I took Cooper to school today, then little man and I headed off to do some shopping. First we went to Target...nothing peaked my interest. Shocker, I know. Next we went to TJMaxx, and although they had some 7 packs of Color Club nail polishes, I didn't buy any. I know, another shocker. So off we headed to Walgreens, with the hope of FINALLY finding the new Wet n Wild 8 pan palettes. I have been every where on the search for these, with no luck. Until today! I knew I should have just went to Walgreens first...

Keep reading for more info on what I bought, and the deals I got!

My Look: Crazy Hair... Don't Care

When I sat down this morning to do my makeup, I had a palette in mind to use. I sat there staring at at for a few minutes, then just closed it up and put it away. Next I pulled out my UD Vice Palette (love, love, love!) and I got to work! I can always come up with a good look with that palette, it's just so awesome!

I actually got the idea for this look from Rachel on YouTube (icallitambrosia), she came up with look to represent her favorite Starbucks drink. I just like the dark brown colors for fall, so I went with it. I have done this look before, so I just went from memory this time, as it is fairly simple.
